Juniper Networks Reference Guide: JUNOS Routing, Configuration, and Architecture
Published in Hardcover by Addison Wesley (17 October, 2002)
Average review score:

Excellent .. JNCIS passedThis i believe is one of the best Juniper reference books i have come across. I have read and used within my job the complete reference by Matt Kolon and Jeff Doyle, aswell as other books. However this reference guide seems to cover the essential aspects of the more upto date Junos versions.
This is an excellent book that is well presented and easy to read, which has to be the killing point, i found the book written as if i where actually speaking to some of the people i know at Juniper through my company.
I passed my JNCIS by this book, I am recommending this book to all my friends who are scattered across various ISP's in the european region that have also implemented Juniper at the amsterdam internet exchange, london internet exchange etc across europe..

A Kayak Full of Ghosts: Eskimo Tales
Published in Paperback by Capra Press (October, 1987)
Average review score:

A Vividly Strange Collection of Arctic FolkloreA vividly strange (and sometimes gruesome) but rich collection of Eskimo folktales from the barren, frigid Arctic. These odd tales weave themes of magic, taboo, old age and death throughout. They are derived from a remote land and a highly imaginative oral tradition.
To give you an idea, some of the specific stories describe men who marry rocks and old people who marry insects, children who grow antlers, children who eat their parents, animals who steal body parts from human corpses and women with iron tails.
This collection is a great read, (...and not for the queasy).
Highly recommended for any kayakers with a fascination for Greenland and Innuit history & culture

Keeper of the Universe
Published in Hardcover by Clarion Books (April, 1993)
Average review score:

ReviewThis book is fast paced but not quite as easy to read as the other L. Lawrence books. It provides both sides of the debate between the whether free-will is 'good', and you can find yourself changing your opinions many times while reading.

Karen Brown's 2001 Germany: Charming Inns & Itineraries (Karen Brown's Country Inn Guides)
Published in Paperback by Karen Brown's Guides (09 January, 2001)

Might as well wing it....or ...there's no there, there....If you were looking for a travel book that told you as little as possible about what you were visiting and ignored significant sites in the cities it covered, then this book is for you. In all seriousness, I was astounded that a travel book with so little substance and insight can actually be published. Do yourself a favor and stick with the Fodors, Frommers, Rough Guides, etc.
The only book we should have taken, excellent, accurate. We travelled to Germany in May returning in June. We had purchased four travel books to help us in our places to stay. After two days we mailed the other books home from my brother-in-laws. Brown's book on Germany was the only book we should have taken. The say the least, it was helpful. We have already purchased the Irish volume and are planning our trip for next year. One other comment: the author did not do justice to all the places we stayed, they were better than they were wrote up as!
